that is a really stupid take. Shit like that is how Bioware almost destroyed the rpg market. and, every turned based rpg turned into Diablo. "industry common knowledge" as they just listen to themselves and destroy the industry. some bioware lead decides no one wants turn based rpgs anymore...

I think thats something that keeps me from enjoying card battlers too much. I like them, but burn out quick on them. M:TG has the same issue I think. I like deck building, playing wild, creative decks... but, card battlers/mtg are designed with hard counters. oh, you want to play that fun...

So, some streamers gave this a shot, and it has the free demo... this is some goofy addictive fun. I get the impression it gets a bit grindy. and Im not sure if the retro graphics, zone maps is good or bad. both? but do think others should give it a shot for that old school mmo feeling.

I think demon form is considered a noob trap. costs too much, and takes way too long to scale. making it very inconsistent. if you get lucky and get a way to make it free and innate. great. but thats serious rng. And even then, the build up is slow. Compare it to reaper form above. same...

solid run with necrobinder. souls. built off grave warden, and death march first. and capture spirit, and dirge second. Dirge is solid, esp + form. even early. as "wasting" turn one,. to get 3 or 4 souls, and buff osty with 12 or 16 hp is solid. wish I had 2 grave wardens. friendships...
