not all melee, maces do fine. it's pretty much just quarterstaves that suck ass in Act 1 - which you can overcome by just using something else until you hit act 2 and swap weapons and gems. You dont even need to respec, just spend your points as you normally would in act 1 but buy a +spellpower...

I know right, if you're not fully invested in ALL of the ritual points and maybe even tablets, you barely get enough tribute to defer shit, let alone buy anything decent. One map i had the first two rituals smashed into a tight hallway and the entire maps tribute was 768 total.

For me personally, I don't mind the campaign. My pain point is once you get to high yellow/lower red maps when you've been cruising along upgrading your gear pieces for 10-15 exalts each, and then you suddenly start hitting brick walls where you get absolutely one-shot and the only clear gear...
