Its not just this game, it feels like most people have just lost interest in gaming for a myriad of reasons. Cost, AI, greed, loot boxes, microtransactions, shit writing, lack of fun, lack of depth, activism, etc. My friends list is mostly just people "online" and rarely playing anything...

I agree, the other angle I would consider is it could potentially be such a modifiable OS that nerds will make it good enough to switch off of Windows. That sounds exactly like something Valve would think about doing. Put the tools in the hands of the community to build what needs to be built...

They do not recommend doing this, but they did say it's easy to load another OS in tandem with SteamOS. I don't know if this in a traditional sense of dual booting or something else. They really need to do a showcase on the OS at this point, it should have been done before the prices were...

Have we even seen what SteamOS can do yet? Yall like to jump straight to conclusions before all the info is out. Its supposed to power the steamframe, that wouldn't be possible at all I don't think without some kind of software advancement up their sleeve. Given the current specs.

SteamOS will make or break this. Curious to see a deep dive on the performance side of things, have they even shown it off yet? I honestly don't follow all of this but it has me intrigued.

Sim Racing. The only permanent use case I've found for it (and yes it's incredible).
