MQ2 will be "enabled" by the people who develop it, but it won't be "permitted" by DBG. It's a weird Stockholm Syndrome sort of thing for people who box larger amounts(12+). We're all really excited for a boxing server, while also knowing since it's the only server this May there will be plenty...
This server is going to be great - FINALLY we get another boxing server, and it's free trade to boot. I like the slower start because I can take it easier the first few months rather than having to level + AA 24/7 while making sure to get all my lockouts immediately done.
Every poll that is the format of "Should <X Thing> be <Harder / Normal / Easier>" has the polls overwhelmingly favoring easier:
Disabled Level Reqs: 82% yes
Exp Gain Speed: 70% fastest(Live exp)
Early Focus Effects: 88% yes
Free Trade: 81% yes
Resource Bonuses: 87% yes
Evolving Bonuses: 89% yes...
Just give us another boxing server. Come May it will be 6 years since Rizlona launched. It was the most fun server I ever played on, with the best people I've ever played with.
YL was my roommate when he was making EQClassic. It was one of the most impressive things I've ever seen. The amount of work he would get done in a day was absolutely mind-boggling(all while never going to class and somehow still having a high GPA).
Have they added any raid content yet? I did buy Pantheon when it came out on Steam, played it for a few days then got bored, but it seems like maybe there is a decent bit of content now.
I will always be thankful that we had Holly - she was the last person at DBG that supported the boxing community. She even openly said that she didn't thing mq2 was bad as long as people weren't automating while AFK. She left right before Rizlona launched, but the only reason we even had that...
Yeah the top guilds thing is pretty funny, espcially Rizlona's. I would have expected anything from Shattered Soul, WGO, Deconstructing Gods, or Throw Stone.
Holy shit, I completely forgot about Bawls. The LAN Cafe near my house had them and I think it was my first ever energy drink. What's even more surprising is after a Google search that company still somehow exists.
