They certainly started this series with a bang. Unlike other shows, you certainly can't complain about them taking a long time to get to the point.

The upgrades come fast enough in normal game that it is never particularly difficult - unless you focus only on one map by the time you get up to fast+6 and higher you 'outgear' them by a lot - NG+ scales very quickly though.

Ehhh, it wasn't horrible, I'll probably watch the 2nd episode, but I am in no rush. Talamasca chick constantly looks like she is about to crack up at her lines, fabulous vampire really can't do menacing, and the initial job pitch makes the Talamasca seem like incompetent assholes.
