I will say I have not seen any increase in player population on fangbreaker since THJ was shut down. There was a small bump when level 55 unlocked but the server has lost that small bump and is now at similar population before the 55 unlocking.
The ban was due transferring no drop gear, mostly planar stuff. A person in the guild, who I cannot remember, gave a few of us a app that allowed you to trade no drop gear. Kartak/Kalaran aka Furor was the only person hit for using the app.
Its possible I interrupted this wrong from his end.
I do know that some guilds like Faceless always want harder stuff to do. It was one reason those types of guilds liked Vnaki so much. My main point was the masses dont want "harder" and making the entire server "harder" would massively reduce...
There were no noticeable sales decline in krono from what I saw. Teek had increased overall sales in the 3rd party market and there was no decline until Fangbreaker was announced.
I would bet this email was from a guild member who lost a lot of guildmates to the server.
I have seen DPG internal numbers for multiple servers and they are always vastly higher than the numbers we see in game.
For Vaniki the peak amount of players online during the first week was about 700 and dropped very fast from there. I dont see how you come anywhere close to some of the...
Maybe DPG plan all along was to release a terrible ruleset and then use the low population as a key point that THJ is taking away their business in the lawsuit.
At this point we have enough variations of rulesets they could spend a few years just releasing mixed rulesets 2-3 times a year and turning on the money printer.
They want to release a new expansion every year for live but I am sure the roi on those are getting worse and worse. Maybe they need...
The ROI on Tlps have got to be massive when you just recycle older ruleset as they require almost no dev time. So it doesnt make sense why they would not be releasing at least 2 tlps a year separated by 4-6 months to try and maximize the players who want to play different rulesets.
Aradune had a 2box limit and it pulled far better numbers. Dont get me wrong the 2box limit is certainly harmful to a servers population but the vast majority of the reduced population on Fangbreaker is due to the weird level locking.
So Fangbreaker peaked at about 2200 players tonight far below oakwynd, yelinak, aradune, manger first day server releases.
Oakwynd was at server cap the first day about 5000
Yelinak was at server cap also the first day about 4500
Aradune was at cap (server kept crashing) 4000 players (Even with...
New sus/ban wave went out about noon est today.
I suspect this is an effort to push more people onto Fangbreaker at least short term so whoever came up with this terrible ruleset can claim success.
Ask anyone who sells loot rights, FV is a million times better lol. If you sell loot rights you need to either have your buyers online or you need to do content in prime time to have the most amount of potential buyers online. Then you got the massive pain in the rear of getting the krono from...
There are certain things that can lower or raise the population for servers for sure. FV loot is top of the list, bonus loot is as well. However things that lower population are things like vaniki rules, 2 box limit. If these things did not exist on the server the population would be higher.
I...
Weird thinking though as Vaniki was a failure population wise. Aradune was a mixed bag. its population average ranks it lower than most other similar tlps.
Its like breeding a asian and a mexican thinking their offspring will be tall.
I like how they just randomly just once sentence major things in patch notes with no explanation in the notes or link to an explanation. Like sneaking in the 2box rule and reverting the spell system.
I am not, its was so trashed via comments that they had to do something. But I suspected whoever came up with the ruleset has a lot of pull since they were only willing to tweak is slightly. I suspect jchan was that person but could be wrong.
You sure? Reading the thread on the orginal report from last year seems like the nerf goes all the way to motm 5.
This change should reduce monks dps using hand to hand about like this
motm 1 -25% dps
motm 2 -25% dps
motm 3 -20% dps
motm 4 -15% dps
motm 5 -10% dps
If you you do AOW in a DZ when you die you will load into Kael not the DZ though making it much harder. Yelinak is very doable at 50 in a DZ though it will take a really long time.
If they stick with this stupid level 50 cap then they need to remove all raid bosses in open world that are not intended for level 50s to kill. This will prevent those lame guilds zerging open world raid bosses with 300+ people and just bind rushing over and over. Then claiming its some type of...
