    AI Game Master (D&D lovers)

I've enjoyed this very briefly: Everweave It's fine. There's something uhm.... boring? About AI content though. When you're playing a game you're enjoying the labor other humans made for you and every good game surprises, thrills and challenges you. When you're playing an AI game there's none...

    Anno 117: Pax Romana

Everyone is different but i find these games more tractable when i just focus on one thing at a time and don't worry too much about the big picture. For 117 that might mean spending a few nights on aqueducts or slavery or bath houses or something and not worry that the gauls are taking my...

Making your own tier list and asking for recommendations might provide better advice! My tier list is based purely on what I enjoyed, not what I think the general litrpg fan would enjoy.

AI: The Rise of the Machines... Or Just a Lot of Overhyped Chatbots?

I can definitely see the concept of a teleoperated bipedal robot working out. Especially if you have swappable naughty bits for it.

    LitRPG

I'm just finishing Reborn: Apocalypse 4 and this fits it totally, except that I still recommend it for people digging into the mid-tier LitRPG books. This might be my personal preference but the amount of present-time recaps totally kills the tension. So many critical moments of the story read...

    Rajaah's CRPG Blog

Yeah, Serpent Isle just kinda hits different. If Ultima's world, Britannia, is literally "Let's do Britain but gamify it.", Serpent Isle is, "Let's imagine an entirely new game world". I dunno if they fixed all the issues in the rushed second half of it, but it's still a top CRPG to add to any list.

Yeah Ultima 8 and 9 were kind of a mess for a lot of reasons, and then the Ultima series got consumed by Ultima Online.

    Anno 117: Pax Romana

Biggest thing that bothered me about Anno 1800 is how the game focuses on the Item system, so you spend so much time basically farming items rather than building your city. I kind of thought to myself I'd enjoy it more if I just ignored that feature, but they are just too powerful to ignore. I...

From a quick read of Resurrected seems like an HD remaster with some QOL, so I'd recommend that.

    Rajaah's CRPG Blog

I dunno about D2 Resurrected, but in the original game depending on your build, D2's necromancer is also one of the few games where you feel like you're raising a literal army of the dead. You can defeat content off-screen while you're just raising skeletons, zombies and a golem to do your bidding.

Diablo 2 would be a crpg if a few hours of unskippable dialog and a combat autoresolve feature were added.

I thought this clip was interesting: One of the constant complaints I have of the Mandoverse shows, even the episodes I like, is that they are disjointed. They seem to connect one storyboard to the next with incomprehensible plotlines and character decisions. I don't really understand the...

    Everquest - Live Servers

I'm skipping this expansion, but will play the next one. Level increase expansions are the worst for me, because I mostly play for group content and it's balanced around not being max-level. So if I played it I'd almost certainly roll in day 1 and beat all the missions and get gear I couldn't...

    Assassin's Creed Shadows

I'll never get AC Shadows or another AC game ever again but don't begrudge those who do for the simple reason that they spend $$$ for dedicated artists that painstakingly build a beautiful world to put Ubislop content into. If I was into Japanese or Viking history/architecture/culture I'd...

    LitRPG

I really enjoy this kind of casual disrespect. Cradle, The Divine Dungeon, Mother of Leaning and Unorthodox Farming are finished. I think most of these series, if they finish, will have turned into garbage long before they conclude. So I don't really value whether they have concluded or not.

Elden Ring - From Software + George RR Martin

The other one is Reforged. It's really popular but changes the game less so i went with Convergence.

Elden Ring - From Software + George RR Martin

Yeah idk about Convergence specifically but a lot of modded games work via dll injection or similar, which diverts the programs execution flow to run different code. Even Skyrim uses skyrim script extender. Usually modding forums are full of people reporting false positives.

    Assassin's Creed Shadows

If you like old shit or like empty open world games or to see the genesis of that genre, AC1. If you want to experience an epic saga or like Italian renesciance, AC2. If you want to enjoy what is a top tier pirate game with some Assassin's Creed in it, AC4 Black Flag. If you want old greek...

Elden Ring - From Software + George RR Martin

I ended up chosing Convergence because it apparently changes the game more, and also turns the game into more of a "power fantasy", which I think I'll need to get all the way through Elden Ring and DLC without losing interest. I'm having a good time with it so far. I only played ER at release...

I didn't see the show producers talk about it, no. Yeah these days any tracking shot like this can be spliced without the viewer knowing it.
