Should have said and live. Of course you can always go full Gale on him and end it all.

Someone mentioned Gondian. One run I'm not sure what happened, but I blew up the steel watcher foundry and all the Gondien died. No Barcus cut scene. Got back to camp and the Duke was there, no Iron Throne. Nothing he was just there like nothing happened. Kinda liked it.

Did you kill Gortash early?

No. I blew up the foundry then off to Gortash. Just bugged out I guess. I wasn't going to do the Iron Thone but bam there he was in the camp. Wyll never really changed his dialog options like hey my dad is standing right here but I'm not going to bring it up. Mizora either.

Yeah that's weird. Daddy Duke should've been dead in that scenario.

I didn't get the notice about the "quake" when the gondians died and the iron throne normally goes boom. Oh welll, I wish I could repeat it.

I didn't check to see if the mind flayer made it out to the city.

You still have to side with a Mindflayer and the whole game goes on warming you up to them so it makes some sense. With the Mindflayer in the Underdark and the Emperor.

I have nothing against making a Mindflayer "friendly" but its still convoluted as they are like the Apex evil. I always liked the DND theory of the Adversary. Where a mindflayer is created that maintains the memories and personality of its host. But gains all of their powers and knowledge. It seems like they were trying to go that route with The Emperor somewhat.

Emperor was evil in this, but his self-interest and manipulative nature made him an ally. The most telling thing is after you win the game, he doesn't bother to show up at the party Withers throws because he had no further use for you. The only "good" Mindflayer in the game is that Society of Brillance dude, although then again we didn't spend a ton of time with him.

That's odd - I know you have to rescue the gnomes in the underwater prison before you assault the steel watcher base if you want the good resolution to the whole Barcus/Gondian thing, otherwise the Gondians just end up getting killed.

Kinda funny...before going to the Iron Throne, I did just the entrance area to the Foundry, freed Toobin and the others. Afterwards they were all freaking out and discussing where to hide the bodies. 🤣
