Everything medium and below fits in the Tailoring/LW/Enchanting bags. This includes the ones off the vendors and the ones they give if you pick the minor trait.

Is the survival starter bag bigger than the 6 slots medium size bags that Tailor/LW/Enchanting get? All my mules started with one of those instead.
