Technically your stats on his touches is incorrect. Touches include rushing, receiving, kick, and punt returns. I would also disagree with your statement about Murray being the most important piece of the Cowboys offense since Romo is the Cowboys qb. I do admit that Murray was not a no-namer rb...

Wasn't Murray a no-namer rb at this time last season?

The NFL losing a collusion case in federal court would be bad PR for the league. This could mean less advertising money from sponsors. So yes it could hurt the league financially.

In most instances, the league and making money is the same thing for Jerry. That is why he didn't fight the salary cap penalty. It could only hurt the league which would make him not gain as much money. The one thing that proves he cares more about money than the league is the jersey/merchandise...

Just because they had the ball boy and equipment guy's phone doesn't mean they had all the text messages between Brady and them. They could have deleted some of the text messages before handing over their phones. Presumably the main reason to get Brady's phone is to see if there were any deleted...

You make it sound like it would be easy for Murray to be the top rusher two years in a row. The last time a rb was top rusher for two years in a row was LaDainian Tomlinson in 06 and 07.

The NFL doesn't need a smoking gun though. After spygate, Goodell had the rules changed so that there is a lower threshold of standard of proof when there is a competitive violation. That's the whole point of the more probable than not in the Wells report.

Brady isn't the only one who can answer that question. There is also Jastremski and McNally. If there is a lengthy suspension for Brady because of all this, expect some draft picks to be taken away from the Patriots since they didn't let the NFL do all the interviews that they wanted like Kraft...

A contract that averages $8 million a year for McCoy sounds about right for me. The only problem is that a 5 year contract for a rb is way too long. He has played for 6 years so far and is 26 years old. A 3 or 4 year deal would have been smarter.

He is, but he said he was willing to give the Cowboys a small hometown discount. But with the market that Lynch is setting, a small hometown discount will still be too much.

Marshawn Lynch agrees to three-year, $31 million deal | ProFootballTalk It seems a little high to be paying a rb. If Murray is wanting that kind of money from the Cowboys, I hope they do not resign him.

McCoy is due to earn $10.25 million this year. It is way too much to be paying a rb, and that is why the Eagles are making the trade. It is the same reason that Adrian Peterson will not be on the Vikings this year. He will either be cut or traded too.
