Most of the filler isn't too bad, it just gets a lot of (somewhat deserved) hate due to how much of it there is. Some of the filler is exceptional, Kosuke is easily my favorite filler character, and a lot of it (+ the ovas) are the only place you'll ever see most of the side characters actually...
