I use the Twitch alternate player extension for Firefox. You might have to customize it a bit for your tastes, but it hides the ads, even at the start of a stream. The quality dips a little during ad breaks, but it still hides them (puts a "Hiding ads" message in the top left while they play)...

This was...alright. It was more Japanese crime drama and less monster/horror. A lot of it went into storytelling about the side characters and didn't have a lot of "people vs evil thing".
