I had a Mazda 5 mini van and honestly I love sliding doors. When you have a family and are stuck in the rat race something about sliding doors makes everything easier. They are lame and dorky but day to day its easier.

Not true at all, the majority of studies show that men are task oriented and tend to stick to one at a time as women will multi-task but the outcomes are still similar. Men accomplish1 task at a time and women Work on several at once while the end result is basically the same.
