Hmmm Do I start this and compile shaders for the 32423432th time, or do I wait for the quick follow up patch and compile shaders then? This is the only game I have seen where about 20% of my "play time" is shader compilation.

Start by talking to your manager about applying for it first. I have encouraged that with my folks and actually helped them level up their careers that way, as I championed their application for elevated internal roles.

I think this is the key. @Deathwing I try to break the work into logical components and make sure the agent understands the phases/checkpoints I want along the way. So like the phase 1 batch of the work is performed, I inspect/iterate there and when it's done - commit. Phase 2, same thing...
