Yea the only real need for a 2nd base I've found is for oil fields, everything else can be handled with the production mines now more or less. The electric cost on the high pressure oil rig though is absolutely not worth it, way easier still to just plop down a basic outpost on top of 3 oil...

Condensing is super rough for certain Pals though. Needing to catch 64 of the same pal to level up to 4 stars is a wild ask, especially for the later game Pals that have better work skills. Ain't no way I'm spending the time to catch 116 or however many it takes blazamuts or anubis or whatever...

Did some more testing with persistent servers. Your Pals absolutely do work while you're offline if you have a dedicated server set up, but they tend to have pathing issues it seems like? I rebuilt my base to be way more open and removed all the structures/walls I had built, and they do a lot...
