The beta is currently level locked, level cap is 12 I think and artisan level cap is 9. The full release it looks like is going to be 2006 but without DoF (which was already out in 2006). They actually just patched out the maj'dul carpets which were accidentally still there (but didn't work)...

You can skip noob island if you want to. I wouldn't recommend it though especially if you want to do crafting - it's way easier to harvest on the island. Being semi-forced to group is a big change compared to live. On live you can easily follow the trail of solo mobs all the way to level cap...

Fired the origins beta up... Definitely brings back memories!

That scene would be too conclusive and SE definitely set out to leave things open to player interpretation/speculation. It's still clear what happened of course, but not to cloud and the player is kind of seeing things through his eyes. They'll probably add that scene as a flashback in pt3.

It specifically states "Krono will not be able to be consumed, traded, or sold on an Origins server.", so that applies not just to beta.

Heroic opportunities yes although it doesn't require specific classes I don't think, just specific roles (tank, healer etc)

The shooting gallery one in costa del sol and the chocobo flying one in cosmo are probably the ones I hate the most. Flying one isn't too far off being a good minigame if the visibility wasn't so poor. The soccer one in costa is also a really bad minigame because of how horrible the movement is...

I assume that requires getting rank 3 on all the minigames? That can fuck right off. Rebirth has a lot of really great minigames but also some terrible ones.
