Well he could have been cooking hero rings this entire time, can get ~8 done a week and he's had almost 8 months to farm mats in preparation for the rings to hit GL.

What's really crazy is that some time in the not too distant future crafting times are going away.

Any one wise in the ways of macro'ing etc mind giving me a nudge in the right direction to the most effective way to do so as far as software etc.

Never done anything of that nature or anything related on IOS etc.

I'm assuming I can macro expeditions? I'd like probably focus abit on that since my rank is still prettt low. Once I get higher I'll definitely priority lapis refill a few critical TM's but stam return probably isn't worth it at this point.

Also I have an iPad and iPhone as well as high end computer setup at home. Not sure what options exist haven't researched yet but figured you guys who have done it can point me to the best route. Much appreciated.

On game side, as far as a finisher goes ....I got confused on reddit abit. One guy was saying it doesn't matter what your finisher has for ele damage if you are doing an eke chain. So if you have reached the 10 (?) ele chain max which is 4 x damage right don't you need the finisher attack to still be that same ele to still get the bonus damage ?

As for chains.
You can cap a chain with anything. It does not have to be elemental. You do not have to be at max chain for this to work.

As Sparkle Pony always says, if you Lapis refresh now you will burn through a ton fast. So I'd focus on getting your rank to about 70 at a minimum before farming for TMs. The Alluring Winds stage of Wicked Peaks on Dirnado is the best rank exp to NRG out there so it's a very good place to quidump excess NRG.

The link above has everything you need to know about macros. Keep in mind that the more complex ones may still be broken though. Version 2.0 broke most / all macros. I know the authors have been working to get them fixed but they are prioritizing the most popular ones first. To use these macros you will need to download Nox or Memu on a computer, install the game and setup from there.

IMPORTANT: These emulators are replicating Android devices. Any Lapis bought on an iOS device will NOT be available on the emulator. And vice versa if you buy Lapis on the android emulator not available on your iOS devices.

iOS has a a very simple macro function built in that is perfect for TMR farming called Switch Controls. Just google FFBE Switch Control and there are about five or six videos that will walk you through them step by step. The downside is that your iOS device becomes inoperable while the macro is running with no way to hard stop it. So I set it to go for about ten minutes at a time and then start it up again. Personally I like it better than macros but I can't run a macro overnight so this is easier for me.

So on the NOX emulator side could I buy lapis with the amazon coin thing or whatever to Save money if I was pulling summons?

On the switch controls, if I went that route I could set it up all night on my iPad for instance and keep my phone free for other uses. But if was flying let's say could I leave my iPad at home Macro's all day while traveling and then jump on my iPhone when I get to the motel and manually login and play on my phone?

The way Switch Controls work is like this: You create a recipe that contains up to five screen taps. So you set it up to do a tap on the launch mission, a friend, and a couple of attacks. Some of these taps overlap so a single tap, properly placed, can perform multiple actions based on where you are at in the whole cycle.

Once it's setup you turn the Switch Control on. At this point a single tap on your phone will initiate a single cycle of the recipe. If you tap your phone 20 times really fast than it will run that sequence 20 times in a row. If you tap your phone 1,000 times it will cycle the recipe 1,000 times in a row keeping your phone locked into those actions until finished .

Google a video of it in action. It will make more sense.

Switch controls are more convenient for me but most people here have better results with actual macros. For one thing a Switch Control can't automate an exploration. It really only works for very simple and repetitive cycles like TMR farming. But that's all I need it for.

Whatever you do, do NOT setup a TM macro using the Amazon version of the game. I have read many stories of the game crashing and launching into Amazon and one-click buying a shit load of random stuff lol.

Using Amazon is fine.

Step 1: Follow the macro instructions and clear everything except Exvius off your 'desktop'. Can't launch Amazon if there's no Amazon app to click on.

Step 2: TURN OFF ONE CLICK BUYING BECAUSE ITS A STUPID FEATURE IN THE FIRST PLACE

The best way I've found to do it is to lock your phone, then triple click to turn it off and if that doesn't work, keep locking it and then triple clicking.

After constantly running into the "updated companion" error I found the best solution was to add a click in the OK region to go back to the companion screen and get a different one.

I've been running my Switch Control for over 50 NRG right now with no issues.

Did they add another fat moogle with recent content? If so any good SQ rewards? Just got enough for a moogle if I want but didn't want to blow if something was out there.

Do not spend star quartz on trust moogles.

If you go with Nox for macros, be sure to uninstall all the pre-loaded apps it comes with. I'd also suggest replacing the default launcher with a custom one to remove the "todays pick" and suggested apps trash it comes with by default.

Also with Maze coming tomorrow and a solid gold bank built up (maybe not for enhancements but at least for getting a wider spread of 6 stars I hope), I need to figure out path forward pre-OGHAWJOU, I've got some TM's from fusing etc and minor grinding and about to start macro'ing and a fairly wide base of units less Gilg/Noct but I am not doing shit for maximing team comps yet.

Also for anyone born yesterday, OGHAWJOU clearly stands for "Orlandu Gets Here And We Jack Off Uncontrollably" , since this is still unknown as far as when it will happen I do need to move towards a synergy based team as my go to.

Tank - Cecil
Healer - Refai soon as I get 5 more Brilliant Rays, have DC for her (on Cecil now for healing)
Olive - Will probably focus incoming moogles on her, have DH mat on her so with TM unlocked she is going to be my go to finisher

So I can do a few things short term
1) Already have a well geared maxxed lightning, could I put a 2nd in there for CB chains with for ST's or 1 of her elemental AE bomgs for groups? I have excaliber I can give the well geared one and go buy trident for the other so I can chain holy at least. Not a max chain but still good mix of damage and easy chains I assume with dupes.
2) Raise my 2 4 star chiz's who I haven't touched yet (and I don't have the fire kantana since was event I believe) to chain with Olive. I don't have BM either, but did just finish the sag-fuckingdumbname kanta.
3) As a short term approach & good long term arena dream team, I can get my Dark F, and ExD max to go along with my Emp and have 3 man DC chains for whatever ele weakness pops up (or double chains and use emp fire from below ramp up on long health fights). Having Olive to debuff lightning for them and then finishing rest of rounds sounds like it would be good on ele chains?
4) Have luneth but not sure where he might fit in as I just got him. Assuming no where if I am going for 2 chainers + finisher. Until my healer is ready i'll have an extra spot but probably will want more utility in that role.
5) Abit of a long game and possibly covering no Orlandu luck, I run Cupid Art for her Dark Resist 40% debuff + alright damage coupled with some good utility and 80% attack buff for my finisher (is that total attack or just base stats attack?). I prioritize my 2 DKC TM's so I have 2 monster ele weapons and put them on....err well someone who can chain semi decent but also strong modifier (and use them!). Then eventually long long term with enhancements DKC comes in with monster finisher replacing art (believe you said he gets a good dark resist debuff eventually)

#1 seems the easiest amount of work (just lvl 2nd lightning, I have everything else needed for ele chains unless she doesn't chain well against her self on CB?). I can throw in the 5th person to debuff resistance. Then once the days of OGHAWJOU are upon us i'll pray to the gods and do one major cash dump and hope for 2 of him and then i'm set like a champ.

Abit But I hadn't bought anything yet with my SQ's so I had a decent amount stacked to begin with.

Fuck me scratch #1, apparently that was a hope I got fucked on not a 2nd lightning.....man I need to start getting more sleep.

Something to consider is that while everyone likes the big number dps, the only thing that's going to hold you back from trials and limited time ELT event bosses is a lack of proper tanking, healing, or support. The only thing big dps will do is make you finish a fight in a few less rounds.

Make sure Cecil, Refia, and a breaker and/or mana regen unit have proper gear and max pots (to the relevant stats).
