Crafting seems OK I guess but then you can just buy whatever the fuck you want from vendors so it's like uhhh, OK? What's the point?
Augs mainly. Especially on weapons they make a huge difference, with the one that trades an aug slot for two mod slots being practically mandatory on everything you make.

There's also quite a lot of stuff that you can't ever buy from a vendor, and I don't think you can randomly loot anything that requires research to craft either.

Use the instant Shield refill consumable.
Oh alright. Well I didn't run into those yet, all I have is something that increases shield capacity and ammunition modifiers.

Regarding Vorphs post, yeah the mods and stuff seem to be necessary.

Sorry I am not super far, but I am like 6-7 hours in. So obviously I don't have a strong grip on everything or have experienced everything yet. Just frustrating.

Barrier Level 6 is really handy on Insanity. (When you hit 25% health shields refill)

And anyone can do Architects - weapons aren't class exclusive. (Although definitely do the one on Voeld last - having to micromanage life support midfight definitely makes it the hardest)

Fuck you, Bioware.

This is the worst AAA title I've ever paid for and the most disappointing game I've ever looked forward to playing.

What's even sadder is the only way to really get this game to an acceptable, much less 'good' or 'great' game standard would be to completely gut and redevelop so much shit that it's not feasible.

Fuck you, Bioware.
SJW cuckfucks.

Pretty much everyone's conclusion at this point.

It's just like I feared. It's just like DAI in that you have to go online and search out how to best play. "Oh yes, if you're gonna be playing on any difficulty mode higher than Hardcore, you're gonna want to get Barrier. Or else, you're gonna have a bad time."

Fuck that. I don't need some neckbeard telling me how I should be playing a fucking video game. That's the reason I quit playing Starcraft. Way too many people are too willing to offer up information on how you should play.

For anyone concerned about wasting augs on low tier crafting, you should know that when you deconstruct the crafted item you get all your augs back. Most of the mats are still wasted, but by the time I did most of the 2nd/3rd planets I had thousands of the common stuff and hundreds of the rares. The annoying part then is the fact that each merchant only sells ONE of any aug, so if you want to load up your armor with recharge speed augs you have to sit through the cutscene and loading screen for the Nexus, run to the vendor, and then back to the Tempest for more unskippable animations and load screens like a dozen goddamn times.

You'll probably want to do the same thing for your weapon mods every time you unlock a new tier of them too, since you can't really count on getting them as drops in a timely manner.

If these companies keep ruining my favorite IP's I'm just going to start going outside again.

It wasn't a requirement by any stretch FYI. I just found it out while getting into insanely high levels (L53 at this point) and filling in with passives from other trees that I hadn't bothered with. I'd done L1-L50 or so without it on Insanity, it definitely would've saved a few reloads earlier on but everything is manageable without it.

And if you don't want tips, don't express frustrations. Most people won't be inspired to help if you aren't expressing frustration.

Yep, been too lazy to post that realization a bit ago now that leveling has slowed enough to make it sane to tradeskill some. If I ever play through the game again it'll be nice to now, NFC why they never added a message to let you know they're recovered though.

Played mostly as a sentinel with bio charge, energy drain, overload on hard and game was a snoozer. Having 2 shield restores and aug/modding/skilling for recharge makes everything pretty simple. Regular game was alright, nothing to write home about. Nackmor Morda was the worst voice over in the history of voice overs.

As far as multiplayer goes, does anyone else feel that the currency / xp progression is insanely slow, especially compared to ME3? I'm trying to get into it but the starting profiles are kinda meh at best, most of the guns are low powered trash (like the shotguns, jesus so busted) and it takes forever to get anything I want to. Seems like when I join missions with people doing well 90% of them are using equalizers or vanquishers. Got like a 16 krogan vanguard and I'm losing my will to continue. Could be the lack of buddies to play with.

Oh, and the outlaws are absolutely pathetic compared to the chosen. Outlaws have 1 kinda-sorta sync grab hydra (which isn't remotely dangerous, really) and the chosen have ascendants / fiends sync grabbing without animation thanks to p2p hosting.
