I would hardly say I'm whining here. If I didn't like the show to begin with and was in here complaining that it sucked you might have a point but for the last few year it's been one of my most looked forward to shows on TV and here we are halfway through season 4 and it's becoming more and more of an afterthought to me. Just trying to get a feel as to whether anyone else's reception to the show is less enthusiastic this year.

I wasn't referring to you, bro. Sorry for the lack of specificity.

Easy there champ.......Alot of repressed anger being project here. Maybe lay off some of that pre-workout boost for the next few days there tough guy. As for whining I simply stated my opinion, folks disagreed and that was the end of that. Keg posts saying he doesn't like this season and I make a joke about herd mentality. For someone who has a pic of The Donald as their avatar you sure have some thin skin and can't take a fucking joke.

I'm not your nephew so why don't you take that "champ" and shove it up your ass. And no, you didn't simply state your opinion, you whined like a bitch about the "herd" and pop psychoanalyzed anyone who still enjoys the show. You made a faggot post, and you know it, and that was what I was criticizing. Not your opinion of the show, as I stated. You didn't just say "I think the show has lost a step." You tacked on "but the herd here is super dumb and they attack you if you have a different opinion abloo abloo abloo."

Oh and uh, jokes are supposed to be funny.

I guess I missed the huge falling out -> best friends in one episode.

The TV show I've been watching all season was falling out -> agree to go their separate ways -> fuck ups and minor reconciliations -> common ground is found and they are working together again. This happened over the course of 4 episodes and has happened in every single season so far so I really don't get all this "the show is different now" rhetoric.

The lost interest over the humor not being there this season I can understand. If you don't think it's as funny so far as it has been previously I agree. But anyone saying they changed the formula of the show must not have been watching the first 3 seasons.
Yeah you must not have been paying attention.

Look at Dinesh and Richards relationship this season.

I mean I guess you may have been distracted by his hacker girlfriend subplot which came and went out of nowhere without any semblance of cohesive story or thought behind it, the dumb from that writing may have obfuscated the larger dumb from the Richard + Dinesh fallout. Seriously, sex starved nerd who never even held a girls hand until college is finally knee deep in relatively hot hacker pussy, not like she's some landwhale hambeast or anything (not that that would matter for Dinesh since he's so sex deprived). Guilfoyle concern trolls him into wanting to end it, only because she was ruin his life if she finds out that his epic takedown of gavin was by incompetence, not intentional. Dinesh is too much of a little bitch to just tell her.

Eventually he is left with no options and confesses to her, and she is totally ok with it, she already knew. At this point Dinesh should be tipping his fedora and M'ladying that bitch til the cows come home, he's set for life now. But the writers forgot that the only reason he was trying to end it was to avoid her finding out, so they continue with the breaking up with her plotline by him calling the FBI? It's like the character knew that the actress playing the girlfriend was only allotted so many episodes and the character knew the writers were going to use this bit later for some epic takedown revenge by said hacker girlfriend, so he just went with it.

Shit writing like that may have blinded you to the even greater shit writing of Richard+Dinesh, but you have to ignore that since it has nothing to do with anything. Follow along:

Dinesh amicably takes over as CEO of PiperChat, spinning off from Pied Piper
Dinesh goes on every tech news circuit talking mad shit about how terrible the old CEO (Richard) was and how he's this breath of fresh air, being a total douchebag shitting all over richard
To complete his transformation into king Douche, Dinesh straight up renegs on Richard and His handshake agreement to share user data
Richard eventually back channels his way in to seeing the user data, much to Dinesh's protest, to discover that Dinesh has completely fucked up
Dinesh admits he lied to cover up his complete incompetence.
Dinesh accidentally completely fucks over Gavin when part of his incompetent shit talking earlier enables Gavin to absorb Piperchat
Richard, alone, partners with Gavin, who has just been fucked over by Dinesh
Dinesh gets tired of looking at dickpics for his new job and just asks Richard if he can work for him and richard is like sure dude no problem

They are not even on speaking terms. And magically they are cool again. Literally at no point do these guys speak to one another. Richard specifically won't work with Dinesh again and says as much when he's trying to get Guilfoyle on board, but then magically they are fine.

This happens before Richard realizes his Partner, Gavin, has left. He's still 50/50 partners with Gavin at the time that he hires Dinesh to come back and work for him and Gavin. Gavin who was just completely ruined by Dinesh.

All of that happened over the course of 4 episodes, not 1. Which was the point of my post.

Oh and what the fuck was that rant about M'lady and Fedoras? You're an idiot.

Season 5 confirmed last season of Silicon Valley then.

The others in that house will in no way be able to carry the show.

Yeah, that's a big loss to the show and only reinforces my opinion that it's on a downward spiral.

I don't see how they can continue the show without Bachman. he's the comedic center of the show. it's dead in the water without him.

The other option is that the show might be evolving exactly the way some posters have hoped it would. The next company is a huge success, so they finally leave Bachman's incubator.

I was hoping they would go this way. Make it the next google and watch them flail about trying to steer the juggernaut with all its corporate layers etc.

Well you certainly aren't my nephew thats for sure, with how sensitive you seem to be you might qualify as my niece though.

And god damn son I made one comment and that qualifies as "whining" in your opinion? You certainly have a low tolerance for disagreement. You have been on the internet before right?

With all that anger sitting right below the surface, your constant use of the word faggot to insult someone and your incessant need to criticize someone who doesn't fit into your "norm" you might want to see someone about that. And I don't mean see someone like you do when you sneak a peak at your buddies naked in the locker room, I mean professional help.

So 2 episodes ago I say this show jumped the shark and everyone freaks out and then starts rallying around saying silly shit like this is the funniest show on TV still.

One episode ago a couple other folks are willing to admit that maybe just maybe the show has lost a step.

Now news is that the only really funny guy on the show anymore won't be there next season.

So are you guys ready to leave your state of denial and say that the future of this show is not looking promising? This season is turning out to be the season where the show jumped the shark and next season with no Bachman will be the season where cousin Oliver came to visit the Brady Bunch. I'll wait here quietly for all your apologies.
