Yeah the first season was amazing. The music in that show helped as well. As stated, it was a shame when the show just failed to deliver an adequate follow-up to Season 1.

I like this enough to keep watching. The fight scenes are done well. The characters are good enough, but I like the whole history of the ruling class. The " We were the power before Rome existed" idea is interesting.
