I had my first character get borked just after hitting 30. Ran a second character through the main story, no side quests, ended at level 26 in less than 4 hours. This game has A LOT of cut scenes. You can easily do level 30 in less than 5 hours. World Rating doesn't matter so set it at 1...

Tabletop gaming is definitely expensive. It is a lifestyle hobby. Starting point is like 500 dollars. After that the sky is the limit. At least for 40k there is a group near everyone in the world. Many other systems don't have that.
