Condensing is super rough for certain Pals though. Needing to catch 64 of the same pal to level up to 4 stars is a wild ask, especially for the later game Pals that have better work skills. Ain't no way I'm spending the time to catch 116 or however many it takes blazamuts or anubis or whatever...

You're not reading what I'm saying. That exists right now. It's called Bazzite. You never see a single terminal from install > playing a Steam game. SteamOS is not some revolution in Linux gaming. It's what is already available with a Valve skin on it.

Lol yea but so is Bazzite is kinda my point. SteamOS itself is already 'available' , just not with the specific Steam branding, so just don't expect it's full release to really change anything re: Linux gaming.

Lot of people hyping up SteamOS here to be something it's not. You can use 100% of what SteamOS does right now just by installing Arch Linux and using the same Wayland compositor they use for the Big Picture mode or whatever it's called these days. Under the hood it's like 95% just Arch Linux...

The raw damage on them is fine, but the real problem is going to be crit/attack speed and the inability to scale either in any meaningful way. If they remove or heavily nerf +skill levels on weapons they should be totally viable outside obscene rolled 1k+ dps maces.

They changed it recently-ish so that is the default behavior now - you have to specifically go out of your way to permakill her now once she goes down in combat by like forcing lethal mode and targeting her body.

This hasn't been true for a while now. You can burn the goblin camp to the ground and still recruit her as long as you don't specifically murder her in combat. She's probably the best companion overall.
