Do you have HW3 or HW4? The newer HW4 Teslas have MUCH clearer video. My 2020 S is HW3, but the 2016 S doesn't even have Teslacam as an option, so I put in a 4k/60fps dashcam with front and back cameras. Just install it and forget about it until you need to pull something up.
