    That seems to be the consensus -- don't do a dungeon finding system.... Unless we do it JUST for the first few tutorial levels. Helping new players find friends right away would probably be good, but as soon as they reach the level where the tutorial and hand holding ends, bye bye dungeon...

    Actually it will be part of the game. I am a big opponent of doing work just for a demo. Sure, you have to do demos, but don't make it throw-away work if at all possible.

    If we were able to pull a Star Citizen and get all of the money needed from crowdsourcing, we would. It's my first choice. Reaching out to a publisher or investor is a 2nd choice, a plan b. Not that I dislike them, but I'd prefer to keep the corporate structure as it is.

    btw, thanks for the comment on the KS site getting better -- I agree it's not perfect though, and we remain working on it. I will say a lot of the suggestions here have been super helpful and let directly to a lot of the edits/updates.

    More realistic, but we're not going to go nuts like with Vanguard and try to have the latest, greatest DX12+ uber-shaders, lighting, etc. because we want an average game machine to be able to play just fine at launch.

    Total darkness in dungeons, for sure. Not really a fan of super dark outdoors... people start to hate when it's night and wish it was morning again.

    It's not a slippery slope with us. I hate a lot of instancing, I don't care for games that have a lot of instancing. I've rarely seen it done right, but when it is done right (sparingly) it can be a really cool way to tell a story. I'm talking 90/10 here, or maybe even 95/5.
