Anxious to see this, currently running a Retina MBP, very happy but curious.

Not sure it's worth it though, by time 4K content is prevalent, you will probably be ready to upgrade, and mainstream 4k sets will be very reasonable.

If you can buy for 600-700, then rent for 1200, I would consider it, even after repairs it could be a few hundred a month in income in the future

I gave up, not enough to deal with the headaches anymore.
