after 16hrs from sfo to hong kong (longest i had)i was literally petrified and got scared the way back home. i found a travel tip was to get compression socks, i couldn't find anything in hong kong, i'd stop by sports stores (the usual nike/reebok/ under armor) to see if there was anything, at most they went up to the ankle (i wanted the ones that go up to the knee), then i tried my luck in taipei. i found "unisex" knee length socks in a medical store (nurses wear em too), but they looked at me and said, yea it's not going up that high for you. (i'm no giant, but i was raised on american milk and at 5'10 i tower over all these puny asians, hell even my wife at 5'2 said she saw the tops of many asian girls [meaning they were 5ft]), anyway i found em going into a sports store and i went to the soccer section and they were italian socks.
long story short, damn i didn't feel any discomfort from taipei to sfo and i was in the middle seat (we usually get 2 aisle seats but my wife felt extra needy and didn't want to sit next to a stranger), still it worked out, the window person was a tiny china girl that was just leaning on the window area.
so to better prepare for next time i got these highly rated compresson socks

it was said you should get the highest compression which is 20-30 (there is lesser 15-20) and you really have to read the wash instructions and treat them as delicate, these you can at least machine wash (some others said hand wash only) and tumble on low heat or air dry (others said air dry only).
on another note a full plane w/ 99% asians and the 4 white ppl hapen to seat behind us and in the aisle and this dude is tall (his head towers over the seat but he doesn't know that you can adjusted head rests)
this is related b/c he's like 6'5 and he whips out this and starts blowing it up
then the flight attendant ran over to him and forbid him from using it b/c it blocks exiting from the plane in case of emergency. i'm saying this b/c this faggot was a karen every hour he'd call and complain to multiple fa's that he wants to use his precious pillow, to the point that he threw a hissy fit and emptied out his carry on, onto his tray and built a "fort" of clothes to lay his head on, lulz
so maybe don't bring that around
another thing to not bring around is i got my uber nice powerbank confiscated, i went thru, america just fine, flying out of hong kong, but i couldn't pass taiwan check cuz my powerbank exceeded 100wh (which is 27,000 mAH)
so i ordered a few 20,000 mAH power banks to see which one i like, intend to make a japan trip in a few months and i'm sure they might be just as hard ass as taiwan is.
