I think CW has finally lost it. And how are they going to have the person playing the dead Black Canary come back? Is she going to be playing another character?

What does comic lore have to do with it? It's like if Heath Ledger were to show up in Dawn of Justice playing someone other than Joker.

Or she could be Lazarus pitted like folks have suggested in the Arrow thread. Or they can come up with any of 100 other comic booky excuses.

It's a spin off that's "in the works" there's no reason for a thread already, especially one with such a stupid title.

Yeah, it would be a bit weird in this case for her to play a different character because it's taking place in the same universe as Arrow. If it were an entirely separate show/medium, it would be fine. However, having her show up and potentially interact (via crossover episodes) with characters from Arrow would be really hard to swallow.

I'm just glad that Palmer is getting the spotlight. Brandon Routh is killing it as Palmer on Arrow. He's just a really fun character.

I'd be ok with Jack Nicholson playing the riddler instead of Jim Carrey.

My comic lore point is that a few of you get caught up in what's in the comics that you don't see the forest through the trees. It's tv, it's a whole new world separate from the comics.

Except no one did that at all with the Canary actress stuff. Which is what you very directly referenced. Literally the only mention before you was Lyrical asking if she'd be playing Canary or another character. Fuckall about lore or anything like that.

I still find it weird that they're using Caity Lotz again. Maybe her face will be obscured so we'll never see her? It would be really weird if they had an Arrow character on the show see her and just ignore the fact that she looks identical to Sara Lance.
