Well this is something I had never heard of before... releases Oct 10th and looks quite interesting. I'm guessing it will not be a very wide release given the lack of buzz to date.

The first thing I thought of was Penny Arcade's short comicAutomata. There's multiple pages, so click through if you want to read the whole thing. I don't think they're related at all though, just in name.

This movie definitely looks interesting though.

yeah looks like a tweak of asimov's rules, AI, and blade runner but done on the cheap. I recommend the movie The Machine, similar UK indie movie that was basically the same idea and pretty decent

I was wondering who was that 'visionary film maker' Gabe Ib??ez and he only made one feature film in 2009 and work as an animator on 4... I am not saying he is not good or anything, just that the visionary did not share his vision much up until now.
