Cam trailer from SDCC--now that it is leaking in full force, have a feeling the real trailer will be dropping today. Warning--spoilers for Thor Ragnarok it seems.

Anyway, I know we have a Marvel Universe thread, but now that trailers and posters are being released, figured we should have a thread for these movies specifically. Looks like everyone will have not just cameos but significant parts.

Also, there's a bit of a spoiler shown in the Comic Con trailer.

This starts off with short hair Thor floating (nearly dead) through Space when GotG pick him up. This tells me that Ragnarok isn't going to be a happy ending. Sure, they'll stop the Goddess of Death, but Thor is going to get kicked into space by someone/something in the process. That will probably be where the movie ends.

Or that just happens earlier in this movie and has nothing to do with the Thor movie.

why isn't Thor frozen from drifting around out in space like Spacelord was when he did that in GotG 1

He's floating in debris. I believe it's pointing to Ragnarok happening literally on the Arena planet and it blowing up, killing death and probably triggering Thanos to move.

Only downside of that cast list is it confirms no Netflix shows or Agents of Shield cross overs ;_;

Thor Ragnarok also kind of confirms the THANOS theory of the stones. The last stone, the "soul" stone, is the H in Thanos so people have been saying Hiemdal has it (He can see all the souls in the 9 realms). But now Hela is part of Ragnarok, and it makes sense she could have it too, being the leader of the underworld.

In either case, by the end of Ragnarok all six stones will now be 'in play' as it were. Either because Asgard has fallen and Hiemdal and the Soul Stone/Tesseract are out of Asgard, or because Hela came out of her dimension to destroy Asgard. So if the THANOS thing holds up, there will for sure be a link directly between the films.

Allegedly the cast, screenwriters, and directors cost of Infinity War (part 1 & 2, not just one movie) is $400m with $200m of that going to Robert Downey Jr.
