Finally, a 4K remaster is in the works, supervised by cinematographer Dariusz Wolski, who worked on the original film. I really hope this will be the Director's Cut version. No information yet on the specs or release date.

Saw this in the theatre, wife fell asleep. She likes the movie, I have, or had, the dvd around here somewhere so she has seen the whole thing. She was tired at the time and all the, "Sleep now...", caused her to nod off for a few minutes.

Great movie, though, I always liked this one.

I remember going with a group in highschool to see it. Film still holds up today.

Definitely one of those movies you don't want to go into knowing too much.

I think this film is a must watch these days, it's well made / produced and shows how much anyone would be in control of their own lives. Director's bio is also interesting, he both did Knowing and I Robot, 3 films that question humanity's future. Well, he also did Gods of Egypt, which would rather question his ability to make nice films.

Theatrical cut has that stupid monologue that ruins that movie by spoiling the mystery, but is much better paced then the Directors cut.

Best advice is to watch Theatrical but to mute the movie until you see see the city as the camera starts panning down. Still couple monologue lines but nothing that spoils anything.

Fantastic flick.

I saw this and then a year or so later, I'm watching the Matrix going "Hmm, this is a lot like dark city, but more action"

At the time I was trying to tell friends etc, but no-one had seen Dark City so it fell on deaf ears.
