Why do these trailers give away the whole fucking movie in them!? I don't want to watch it now because the only *twist* could come at the very end since they have spoiled the beginning and the middle already.

Yeah looks like it could be fun, but OU Ariakas OU Ariakas is right, when I cut the trailer to where it's a little bit more mysterious. Me you could at least indicate that it's a dark comedy or whatever the hell you want to call it, but don't explain the entire goddamn plot.

I don't remember what movie kroenen kroenen had posted recently, but it was extremely noticeable just how well the trailer was crafted, and it gives you just enough information to kind of understand what type of movie it might be, but doesn't tell you what's happening and makes you interested in seeing it.

It's like a bad sales pitch where somebody just goes into a business and barfs out too much information, and is incapable of reading the room.

I'm to the point where if a trailer is cut well, it's probably a good sign the movie is going to be worth watching. Just a nice cinema litmus test.

It's the trailer for 28 Years Later. Spoken word poem playing over brief snippets of the movie. No idea what is going on in any of them, but it gives you a sense of what to expect.

That's right, I just couldn't remember. I want to say there was another movie he had posted also that was cut extremely well, and some of us made comments on it. Sorry I just can't keep up with the number of films he links in the movie isle.

Correct, you never specifically mentioned anything about the 28 Years Later trailer being cut in a non-revealing way, even though we all agree it was stellar in all regards.
Search is down, and my memory is a bit hazy after recovering from being sick with a high fever, but you did mention something about it on October 16 in this thread.

I don't remember that movie, but when I notice a trailer is done well to not be too revealing and just explain the entire damn film, my ears perk up. There's just such a night and day difference. I know when I click on a trailer and it looks like it might be an interesting movie but you can tell it's going overboard and it still might be worth watching, I shut the trailer off.

I guess that's part of the fun of watching these types of films, horror or suspense, whatever. I want to have the same experience as the characters in the film trying to figure out what's going on, then I guess as I've gotten older the best movies are ones where I cannot figure out where the movie is headed. It's fun at least to be able to figure out what might be happening, but it's a true pleasure when something suddenly makes a jarring turn, but it works with the plot and isn't just retarded like an M Night Shalama dama ding dong stinker.

You just like a lot of obscure and do stuff that I think a lot of us probably enjoy, and they're way different than mainstream Hollywood, I'm at extremely noticeable.

The Death of the Unicorn trailer was way too revealing for my taste. Might need to add a warning sticker in the future. ;)

I think that's a wonderful idea, would make it easier to try not to remember all of the stuff coming out, and if you click on a thread within the forum and see a bunch of the reactions you know it's not worth clicking. Doesn't mean that it might not be a good movie, but perhaps we can all try to say hey don't watch this because you'll know exactly what's going on throughout the entire movie.
