It was worthy of one episode of Doomsday Preppers, but I can't imagine it being worth an entire season. A couple of the girls are pretty good looking, but then when you realize they all came from that father, it ruins it for you.

Also, someone (National Geographic) must have helped them finish that place, because after 20(?) or more years of working on it he didn't even have the ground floor part of it finished, and now it has towers and shit. He might have been working on it by himself before and now that all his kids helped, they got it done faster, but the gimmick of the Doomsday Preppers episode was that he was giving his fortune to the one kid that he felt could best continue his work in the event he died. He wasn't planning on finishing it in his lifetime. I guess that all changed, and now he's got that stupid living trust timeshare bullshit.

I'll probably download an episode or two anyway, because I love watching these crazy fucks. I work with at least one.

Just caught a little bit of the preppers, can't believe they're making it an entire show. So the premise is that this guy has been building a safe place for his family in his spare time to save them from the end of the world. And now he's going to turn it over to whoever wins a reality show? Those 2 ideas don't seem to go together.

The daughters are pretty damn cute, though. Have too agree with the older brunette as the winner. And to be fair to them, it seems like the hottest people come from ugly parents

That was the oldest son from his 1st marriage or 1st family or whatever the other 3 girls and boy are from his 2nd wife or whatever.
His oldest son, seems even dumber then him if that's possible.

It says on the website that his oldest daughter on the tv show is his favorite.

The only way this show lasts a few seasons if he has his girls start wearing bikinis.
Then again there is amish mafia so who knows.

I agree the premise is stupid, even though there are crazy people that believe all that shit.
I mean the drawbridge alone a regular bullet almost went thru it, in this day and age, any village idiot can get hallow points, armor piercing, exploding so there is that, then again in the day and age they can make or buy explosives.
That is 2 ways right there his entire unfinished castle will be worthless alone to any of those, then that does not even take into account a dirty weapon with some nuclear material, let alone a nuclear or chemical type of bomb or grenade.Biological warfare.

I would then joke that the premise of this show is for him to pay child support for his 10 kids, but since his 1 son is like 44 years old from 1st marriage and the twins are like 20 he cant use that premise.
So lets face it the only way this show will last is if enough watch it for his girls, his 2 sons and him have no gimmicks like the duck show, they are just fucking stupid so don't see this lasting.

his drawbridge is a fucking joke and as was posted earlier he has huge fucking windows on the first floor of the castle. its not really a home built for defense. windows need to be higher and smaller, that drawbridge needs to be scrapped until he comes up with a better method of lifting it and is able to make it completely bulletproof. basically it needs another steel plate added, stronger winch housing and an electric motor to do the lifting.

I know its a joke, as well as all those windows lol, what state is that in, shit do they have tornados all those windows.
I surprised he does not have a indoor garden room with a outdoor pool as well.

I am starting to think the shows creators were the same that made amish mafia.
At least his 3 daughters have teeth compared to mafia show.

Seriously who cares if your drawbridge is bullet proof you have GIANT WINDOWS on the ground floor why shoot out a draw bridge when you can just throw a brick and walk through the windows.

i dont even know why he felt the need for a drawbridge. a regular heavy steel security door would do the trick. could paint a drawbridge shape around it so it looks more castlelike.

They are putting a moat in..so they needed a drawbridge to cross it I guess. I agree about the windows, though in one of the previews it showed them throwing molatav cocktails through the steel bars so it might be part of the perimeter defense.

Only watching for the daughters..lol

btw the man who built that castle must have been a fucking genius. unless you poison the water there is no way a medieval army would ever take that castle. its basically what i imagine Riverrun would look like.

don't think people in the keep could outlast a long siege. didn't read that much about it, but sounds like it for just family, servants and few guards.

not watched the show, their castle might be good against zombies, but even if they reenforced all the block with concrete and rebar wouldn't take long to shoot holes in it.
saw a tv show once with germans usingblocks likethis to make apt building. would be much better, if not going with a poured wall.

A castle in the middle of a lake full of fish would be unsiegable. I guess you could get creative and have your men cast a rod and reel to take all their fish, thats still gonna take forever. Best you can hope for is chucking a bunch of rotting corpses around the castle and maybe it gets them sick

Why on earth are they building a trebuchet? Typically a trebuchet is for toppling castles, not defending them. Certainly not when you only have a handful of peeps in your castle. I would recommend crossbows and fire.if father dumbass is worried about a car storming their fence at speed then just move some obstacles onto the road so you have to slow down. What a stupid show. Ashley has some sweet tittahs though

I am assuming those aren't his daughters, and they came from central casting.

The drawbrigde was all kinds of stupid. No one has mentioned the hinges on the outside. I also thought the winch was way too slow. It must have taken 30 min to get that fucker up.
