first episode... nothing too exciting but it has potential. Toriyama is actually involved with this unlike that piece of shit GT.

Nice that they are retconning all the DBGT shit. Kid Goku was badass but once they went SS4 it got retarded. Looking forward to this one, first ep wasn't bad.

My favorite part was Master Roshi running into the house when he found out they had money so he could buy some more "interesting" DVDs.

Kid Goku was them realizing that Dragon Ball was a bajillion times better than Dragon Ball Z. SSJ4 was indeed full retard though.

Although to be honest, lvl 4 really isn't that much worse than 3. There were a few high points in the Buu saga, but as a whole it sucked and the series should have ended after Cell. And the Cell saga should have ended with Vegeta going so berserk at the death of Trunks that he went Super Saiyan 2 and killed Cell himself, instead of that dumb one armed kamehameha battle.

Movies/Shows whatever, I watched the orignial and Z, this looks set after the buu Saga. Why do all the guys sound like chicks.

Dragonball Z is one of the very few anime where the dubbed version is infinitely better than the subbed. The Japanese voice actors for Dragonball, especially Goku, are godawful.

That doesn't make the Japanese seiyu any less terrible. Give me Chris Sabat anyday.

The Japanese music is awful too.

It's whatever, you grew up with. I had the bootlegs as a little kid way before it was dubbed so those are the voices I will always like.

Listening to the american version irritates me.

Yeah the JP voice acting has always seemed somewhat off. Like we have this roided out huge dude and he has the voice of like a pre-pubescent boy.

In his defense, he may be a penniless hippie but he did come back from the dead back to his family and brought food home from the wild. That's dozens ahead of some deadbeat dads out there.
