before they sold all the props, thought they could have pulled off a $15m sequel. doesn't need over the top effects, slow mo and 3d.

doubt they would get anything near VM's near $6m from crowdfunding

It's reaching that point though where it's better if they don't make one. The further away from the original it is, and the more the director has to fight for it, the harder it is to recapture the magic.

Sometimes great things just come in Ones.

Best hope would be for him to Riddick it, put down much of his money to get filming, then grab a studio to pick up the tab once it passes a screening groups approval. Not sure what he has in the bank though or if he would risk the biscut.

Yeah but Vin Diesel made retarded money on the Fast and the Furious movies. I don't think Karl Urban has anything approaching that kind of "fuck you" money.
