I was wondering where the dart on the "ruin Adam12's childhood" map would hit next.

Are you sure that the stories aren't mixed up and this is just the plot of a porno.

"He slimed me!" just writes itself.

If this shit gets made then they might just have to fight a real ghost. The ghost of Harold Ramis!

I do agree with the point that it would be easier to do a reboot than a true sequel at this point. I'm not necessarily against the idea, but it has some really big shoes to fill and it needs to not be a "hey Gen X parents! Bring your kids to this!" money grab.

Fuck that. Sequel writes itself at this point. They start with the funeral of Egon Spangler. There was a bitter fued sometime in the past and the other 3 left to pursue their own things. Egon stayed behind as the only ghostbuster. They haven't seen each other in 10 years. So they all converge at the funeral including their kids. One of those kids happen to the the son of Peter and Dana, whom have been separated for years. Yada yada evil baddy threatens NYC and Peter, Ray, and Seymour try to get into those size 36 coveralls with their size 42 waists and get utterly embarassed. Cue 3 scenes in the future and the kids take the proton packs and kicks ass. This leads to the reconcilation of Peter and Dana's marriage. Also Slimer.

Would putting in a CGI Harold Ramis ghost in the background as an easter egg / homage be cool or trashy?

It would have to be at a pivotal moment in the movie, where Sandy or Melissa are on their last leg, surrounded by hordes of ghosts, zombies, and that chick from The Ring. Thinking all is lost and seconds before detonating their ghost nuke that will ultimately sacrifice their own lives our heroines look up and see the ghost of Spengler. He winks at them and vanishes, but that was enough to give them the power to push through and overcome all odds. Because that is what Harold Ramis did for us in real life.

Was really hoping this rumor was false. Melissa McCarthy's "its funny because I'm fat" jokes in my ghostbusters? Its more likely than you think.

If he doesn't suggest crossing the streams as a solution, it's all for naught.

Not sure why making it about 4 chicks is a go. The alternatives must have blown huge chunks. It does seem like that enough time has passed that a sequel would work out just fine, and still serve as a reboot.

This is the role they mentioned for her.

Since Harold Ramis is dead and Murray has turned them down I see no point in even having a sequal.
