Anyone readGun Machineby Warren Ellis yet?

BB has a link to a segment animated by Templesmith (niiiice) and read by Wil Wheaton:here

BB post calls it a "supernatural hard-boiled cop novel set in NYC". Any opinions? I've heard Ellis is a good author, but I was finally going to read American Gods and Odd by Gaiman...

I had not heard of this book before, but Warren Ellis' comics are fucking amazing and that summary gave me half a boner. I am all up ons that shit.

That description is misleading - it's a pretty much bog standard police procedural. The only thing supernatural about it is the level of corruption in the cops.

It was ok, but I probably wouldn't bother with any sequels. Your mileage may vary depending on how much you like police procedurals I guess.
