Heading off to Barcelona for a week tomorrow and thought it would be fun to get a quick straw poll of what people have been reading for summer stuff this year.

I am hoping to get through a couple of books at least (I read fast and plane journey's bore me) so I have the following lined up ..

Dataclysm - Christian Rucker
This is the original data science guy for OK Cupid. Book looked interesting but its kind of work related too. I bough this on paper because well, fuck airlines and device nonsense.
Astro Noise - Laura Poitras
Sticking with surveillance themes.
Distraction - Bruce Sterling
Re-visiting a classic seeing as it is political silly season at the moment.

Also queued up on the Kindle are
A Darker Shade of Magic - VE Schwab
Mark Lawrence's latest trilogy.

What else have people been reading this summer?

Just finished Cosmic Trigger III - My life after death (R.A. Wilson) and about to start Food of the Gods (Terence McKenna).
