There was original talk of Bradley Cooper trying to bring the Hyperion books by Dan Simmons to TV through a "Limited Series". It appears after the success of Dune, Warner Bros signed off on a Hyperion movie. Guess it's been a passion project that Cooper has been trying to make happen for some time.
Hyperion is arguably my favorite book ever. The first two are incredibly good. Really hope this comes to fruition, regardless of how difficult it might be to make.
