This looks Iron Fist levels of shit.

When they knock out something that resembles the fighting in Chocolate then I'll be interested.

Is this suppose to be the 2021 version of the 90s show?
remake of the 70's show where David Carradine was a monk looking for his brother in the old west.
the 90's show, Carradine was the grandson of the 70's monk and did stuff with is son in modern day. think that is right

Can even go 1/16th life crisis. Mom keeps giving me orange juice boxes when I really want Fruit Punch.

Wasn’t the original Kung Fu going to be Bruce Lee starring, but then execs at the time didn’t want to headline the show with an Asian actor as main character and got some white dude instead?

OG Kung Fu with Bruce Lee would have been awesome

the only white guy they could find was a fucking ballet dancer

not only should it have been Bruce Lee, but they stole his manuscript for kung-fu, it was basically supposed to be loosely based on bruce lee, a half asian in san fran

thats what this show is

it would have been cool to have Bruce lee as Caine, but 30 years of war with asians wasnt going to be a big TV draw, so the TV execs had to go a different way for ratings. its unfortunate but understandable.

Maybe they thought that, but it wasn’t accurate. Enter the Dragon was a box office hit.

You are talking about a movie tho, not something they needed great ratings for week in week out.(TV slots were very valuable at the time but not to risky shows) TV studios aren't exactly known for taking big risks even now. They are likely killing this show by taking the risk of a female lead.
