Maybe since I didn't play with Legos growing up but my dad loved Rocky and Bullwinkle and all the offshoots of that cartoon, including Peabody & Sherman, I fell asleep during the Lego Movie but thoroughly enjoyed this movie.
I thought the story moved along at a good pace; no slow spots. Very funny with a lot of the humor only an adult would get. Not blue, but you need some history that kids wouldn't have learned yet. The animation and the pacing keeps kids entertained anyway. Another plus, there's no Will Ferrell. I can't stand that guy. But there is Patrick Warburton. He's great as Agememnon.
