It clearly wants to be "The Princess Bride" mixed with "Monty Python" and "His Dark Materials." But really, it is none of these.

Revisionist alt/history could be fun here. Even with the dopey (almost stereo-typically stupid) black king of England... That's not PC/SJW at all. That's racist!

It just drags on and on and on and on.

How many times can you put modern curse words and slang into the mouth of a Tudor character and still have it be funny?

I don't think I can make it through this. Stopped mid-way in episode 4..

The potential was there to go off the rails, but it doesn't. It seems like it grinds to a halt.
