I bought it on switch 1 and it was possibly the worst running game I've ever played. Had to quit even though I love XC games.

I've heard of issues with this though? Anyone played it?

There is a bit of shimmering in handheld mode due to whatever upscaler tech they used. It's honestly not that bad and the discourse around it is a bit overblown imo. Looks much better docked on my OLED TV. Seems to be a stable 60fps from the 40ish hours I've put in since the patch.

rabbids 2 gold edition is 90% off at $8.99 ($6 for base game no DLC) haven't played it, only played an hour or two of the first game but it seemed like a fun goofy x-com variant type of game (more silly of course)

i think its a switch exclusive so you won't ever see the two on pc/etc. its ubisoft so probably never see a sequel either
I got these on sale years ago. Worth the 9 bucks if you like xcom games.

Nice that's good to hear. Maybe I'll pick it up someday soon. I also didn't like it as much as XC1 and 2

I just bought FF12 for Switch. I played it when it came out years ago but a handheld version is too cool to pass up. I've been looking for a single player game I can dive into for a while and this seems to be perfect.

I was talking about having a soft spot for FF8. Well, FF12 is also really underrated. Lot of people dislike it because it's got different mechanics. Well, it's a very solid game on pretty much every level. Visuals are unique, sound is awesome (same composer as FFT), the gambit system is actually a ton of fun to mess around with once you figure it out, and all six of the characters could basically be the main character if you wanted them to be, they're all pretty well fleshed-out and presented.

The remake version can be broken right out of the gate by farming Danjuros from the new Trial Mode (or whatever it's called) for everybody, since your acquired equipment there gets saved to your main game save file and vice versa. I don't really recommend this though, there isn't any need to break the game unless it's a replay and you're trying to run it quickly. In any case, you can get Danjuros as either a rare drop or a steal (can't remember) from a mob on like the fourth map of the Trial Mode, and it only takes a couple minutes to get that far even with a low-level team. Danjuro is like the 5th-strongest sword in the game or something like that (it could be a knife, can't remember). It's been a while since I did this.

You still have to unlock Danjuro on the license board, so it'll take a bit for your characters to be able to use it, but I think all six of them can use it. I have a save file where everyone has Danjuros and I'm on like the second save point of the game. Could steamroll it (well, the first half anyway) any time I want to revisit FF12 for the story, but if playing for the gameplay you're better off just playing normally. Just a neat trick I found.
