I had no idea anyone on here would even remember these guys. They pretty much brought back alternative rap, at a time when everyone else was doing gangster rap.

Wow, Low End Theory is considered to be #153 on Rolling Stone's greatest albums of all time list. That's a surprise.

I didn't really get into them until about a decade ago but they became my favorite hip hop band/rap group of that era(early 90's).The Low End Theorymay be their big hit butMidnight Maraudersis my favorite. Great album to sit down and listen to from end to end.

I am sad to hear about Malik's death, but I am also surprised to discover that he was basically the same age as my brother who was the one very much into hip-hop in the early '90s.

I think I listened to Low End Theory at least 100 times. I really need to start playing that for the kids.
