Yea if this was real, Disney would have definitely announced it themselves at one of their conventions or something.

Rumors Disney is trying to sell Star Wars. Probably wishful thinking but a man can hope.

Just the idea that there would ever be a fucking Mangold Star Wars movie after he already lost lucasfilm 300 million for Indy 5 is so laughably Kathleen Kennedyesque that anyone should know this is a joke. The Rey movie was hint enough that this is all bullshit. There is no Mando movie either as Mando is played out too. The next Star Wars live action movie will likely be five years from now and a completely new direction because there will be a completely new studio boss. And the director will be either Favreau or the Rogue One director . Filoni makes anime.

He did her a huge favor by stepping on Spielberg's toes. If Spielberg says no to his own franchise, that means no.

Not many senior directors are going to get involved in that mess, especially at Lucas Film. Mangold stepped up big time.

If Kennedy is extended, Mangold will almost certainly get a movie. But I heard she is starting to eye retirement.

If they extend KK, they still won't give her any live action movies. It's been 5 years since the last one. The franchise is in shambles. If that Mando thing isn't vaporware, it's probably the remnants of the cancelled season 4 and they're repurposing old footage.

It's possible the hiatus will continue per Iger.

I just wanted to point out that Mangold isn't Taika "Faggot" Waititi.

The ask was near 10b last time they kicked the tires on selling it a year or two ago. Nobody is going to overpay for it considering the state it's in, and Disney is only interested in being overpaid for it.....

wait.....

Amazon? You there?

“The Mandalorian & Grogu” movie has wrapped.

Shooting on the project was originally slated to begin in June or July in California and would take 92 days – meaning the film has seemingly come in on time.

54 cast members, 3,500 background extras, and 500 crew members worked on the project which serves as the next chapter of “The Mandalorian” story.

The project was initially conceived as a fourth season until the strikes last year led to the season being retooled as this film. A new version of the Razor Crest ship will appear in the film.

So far the only announced cast members are Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver, though plenty more are expected to be revealed soon.

Despite the fairly quick filming schedule, there’s now a long 19-month wait before the film hits cinemas on May 22nd 2026.
