Caught the first one last night finally, was pretty good, decent action. plot was....eh but good enough.

i mean come the one time he "takes a normal job", it ends up most likely worse than most of what he did for the mafia/cartels

if i hadn't seen the trailer for #2 i don't think i would have put together that they were brothers.
as to his handler, i didn't see that coming until the scene at the end with the kid walking into her room

will catch this once it is out streaming. not my wife's type of movie to go to the movies to see.

Rewatched the original recently, didn't know there was a sequel coming out. I was definitely too harsh on the first film. Sorry if there's a thread, search sucks on here

See, I happened to rewatch the first as well recently (Amazon autoplayed it after whatever episode of Reacher) and came out of it less optimistic for the sequel.

Half that first movie is just mystery flashback, and without that background material, what is left for the sequel, sub-Extraction level action?

John Bernthal fucking shit up is typically fun. Also that's exactly what happened to me, played right after Reacher lol
