The fuck? Is the Nintendo exclusive part some sort of sick April Fools joke?

I hope this game sucks fucking balls and is so disappointing that FromSoft commits ritual sodoku, fucks that up, drowns in a river of flaming shit with their intestines hanging out, and is then bought out by Electronic Arts and Ubisoft.

Shit better come out on real consoles, or pc, eventually if it’s good.

If you noticed the description it said that it is PvPvE and Miyazaki said in a recent interview that he had taken some inspiration from Escape From Tarkov. This is not a spiritual successor to anything other than maybe having similar themes to the other FromSoft titles. Outside of that, it is a new concept in a new place on a new system.

Well, it's a Fromsoft game and personally that rocks. But it also isn't available for any other system at launch, on a PS4 Pro lite era "New" device which based on Fromsoft design (Which will be good) will cripple gameplay to 1080p30 900p/60 at best without modern tech to support it because Nintendo makes money on hardware (Not saying that's a bad thing or a good thing).

I would think a lot more excitement would be had if it was a multi-platform launch and we could leverage our consoles/PC's which we invest in for better graphical/audio experiences while playing.

This isn't how this works. It is most likely (Hopefully) a timed exclusive and they will develop it for modern systems and specifically cookie cutter this to fit in with the Switch 2. The real experience is when (Hopefully when) they release it to anything that won't be a fucking toaster for a console.

I agree with you on some games. But that also doesn't mean I watch the original Tron and break out my 4:3 17" Zenith and JVC VHS tape. Games can be fun to play with varied graphical outlays which isn't system dependent (IE: It's a design choice) In this case, Fromsoft games are an experience in of itself with the totality of the circumstances, so to speak. Imagine playing Elden Ring at 900p30 compared to 4k60. It definitely impacts the overall memory/experience of the game. Fromsoft games ooze atmosphere and graphical approaches to attain it. That's a major part of the overall experience. Neuter that because of legacy hardware launches, and you neuter this specific experience.

I mean they are releasing new hardware here that is already 8 years old and are excited to announce push to talk voice chat..... And charge a subscription to use it. With a console costing $449 without an OLED screen, and the power of a system scratching the surface of 2013. I get why people buy them and for 1st party Nintendo games it's fantastic. A Fromsoft exclusive, however, or for that part a Cyberpunk 2077 or Witcher 3 or Hogwartz is never the go to platform for these titles.
