If we're going to have this discussion, what kind of scenario are we even talking about right now?

Are we talking about just a sudden cut of the supply chain, with the rural areas attempting to starve out the cities intentionally, even against their own economic interests?

Or are we talking something more of a brexit where the rural and and urban areas mutually decide to go their separate ways and see which one fairs better economically?

I'm far more interested in the latter discussion.

We already have a thread for that. We dont have one for impending civil war, aka LA vs Texas.
Texas would literally be the worst place to be if this happened. It is probably more divided rural vs urban than the rest of the country taken as a whole.

City wins. More manpower, money, and all we have to do is give to another international power south carolina, and the will keep the cities supplied.

Rural people will adapt to lacking the internet that they would surely lose.

City Hipsters cant go one week without Chipotle that uses items grown rural.

Cities have man power but not enough guns, country is armed to the teeth. Ill take 1 alabama hick with a hutning rifle over 15 Tyrones side shooting a 9 M.

In the later scenario, ubran centers act smug and until food prices skyrocket and they come groveling back for cheap food to keep the disproportionately large percentage of their populations who are poor and uneducated fed and happy.
