Jesus. More and more details about the parents are coming out. The guy was sexting minors the day his child died and they visited websites about living a child-free life. I hope these parents fry.

Father whose son died in hot car to face Ga. grand jury - CNN.com

It does happen several times a year but in this case there are a lot of things that make it look like the dude purposely murdered the kid as opposed to it just being negligence. Stupid plan though because even if it is just negligence I think these people usually do some jail time.

Jesus... my wife was talking at me about this a few days ago. I originally said murder 3, but fuck this guy. Tie him to a bumper and go for a long drive.

EDIT: Had to review murder law. I guess originally I was thinking involuntary the way my wife described it (some poor sap who forgot to drop his kid off in the morning and was performing CPR on the child on his lunch. How the fuck do women get facts this wrong?)

Yeah really fucked up information coming out.

I have no idea how a parent could leave their toddler in the car. They are such a huge part of your life at that stage I just can't fathom it and even if it happened about 3 minutes after leaving the car I'd have a "where the fuck is my kid" moment. Something you feel when you're away from your family on business even though they are home and safe.

As for this case his texting underage girls, combined with the wife's statement at the day care (which implies she was in on it) and the internet search history paint a pretty grim picture of what was going on with these ass holes.

It's amazing how worked up you people get over things like these. Like a 17th century public hanging.

I read something about part of his search history being how to survive/get by in a prison sentence. So possibly thinking ahead but not planning on getting charged with doing it willfully.

Supertouch, your thread title sucks dicks just like you.

Not only that but when the wife went to pick up the kid at day care they told her that he was never dropped off. "Ross must have left him in the car," she replied, according to Stoddard. Witnesses said they tried to tell her many other things could have happened, but Leanna Harris insisted that Ross Harris must have left the boy in the car, Stoddard said.

Not sure about anyone else but that wouldn't be my first thought / thing I'd say. Seems odd unless she was in on it from the start. Cunt.

Should have taken a page from all Monica's and just left.
I mean really, you're a dude, just go deadbeat. They seem to have been in this together though, so he wanted her to be with him I guess? Still, drop the fucker at one of your parents' house and never come back, LOL! But no..."great idea honey, we will never get caught, hear me out...."

Good luck proving intent unless he told someone or wrote something about it.

They can make 20 theories as to why he should have noticed his son in the car, that will not change the fact that the very definition of being distracted is 'not noticing things that you should notice'.

They can make 20 theories about the way he reacted to the death, that will not change the fact people react to traumatic event in totally different ways (even him trying to muster up fake tears at the police station can be brushed away as him seeing he is in trouble and trying to behave in the way he is expected to behave).

They can find 20 reasons as to why he was not a good husband, that will not change the fact that it is irrelevant for the case at hand.

I mean, even if he spent his days saying to whoever wanted to listen: 'I would be happier if my son was dead', they still would not be able to prove intent. I don't think I would want a justice system where a Freudian slip constitutes intent.

Assuming he's smart enough to keep his mouth shut, and she is too. Crazier shit has happened. These loons could have written the whole thing down somewhere, never underestimate stupidity. Plus one of them could get all guilty conscience and confess like an idiot. Hopefully if they do get away with it though the media will go all Casey AnthonyMORAL OUTRAGEto get all the TV watchers in a frothing tizzy again. That would be hilarious and entertaining.

And yeah, I think I read that the judge only allowed the sexting stuff because it was a hearing to establish probable cause. That doesn't seem like it would pass muster for relevancy in a jury trial to prove murder.

Jury will crucify him though. Appeals galore, but at least he will be in prison. Dude probably thought he would get involuntary when he was searching for "surviving in prison"

My money is on wife testifying against him for immunity. That happens right? Or is there some marriage privilege that would not allow for that? Basing this all on having watched BOTH good wife AND orange is the new black, so basically a lawyer.

I'm gonna wait awhile before I get outraged about who is guilty of what or not. I simply don't trust the media or the police's side of things when it comes to something that is being used for media exploitation and ratings. Cause Zimmerman.

A justice system where nobody can be convicted with out a signed confession with 2 notaries and a judge present is way better. You're so much better than everyone else.

Eat a dick.

That's not how the burden of evidence works. You don't need CCTV footage of a crime or a diary entry confessing to murder in order to convict someone. There's a mound of circumstantial against this guy. Yeah, the internet search about children dying in hot cars could be a coincidence but "forgetting" about the child 30 seconds after eating breakfast, the e-mail from the daycare center, the websites about living a child-free life? Come on.

The mother's comments at the funeral sounded like the words of a psychopath as well.
