Plot: When a man returns to his beachside hometown in Australia, many years since building a life for himself in the U.S., he is humiliated in front of his teenage son by a local gang of surfers who claim strict ownership over the secluded beach of his childhood. Wounded, he decides to remain at the beach, declaring war against those in control of the bay. But as the conflict escalates, the stakes spin wildly out of control, taking him to the edge of his sanity.

If there's not a bunch of amazing surf mixed into the score in a creative manner, this will be bad. I understand it's probably a serious tone but a creative director would get good tunes and have their guy in charge of music shape that stuff appropriately. You could easily do remixes because typically in a surf Rock instrumental, you're not having to worry about the vocals, and can turn it into something pretty darker atmospheric if needed.

If the score doesn't have the surf sound, to me it's a failure.

I'll probably watch it on streaming though.
