Like all kickstarter miniature games, this is likely destined to die unfortunately. They have no plan to sell this outside of online, so just like Dropzone Commander and others they will be incredibly niche and not played in stores. I think you can get away with it with boardgames to an extent, but 3d printed models will be setting a precedent where players expect cheap STLs so they can't easily escape that and grow commercially.
Looks who's behind it though. This isn't just random dudes.
That was my thinking, if I decide to get into it. Sort of just want an excuse to model and paint again.Kind of reminds me of the RIFTS first dimension book Wormwood. It looks pretty cool though. I'm sure getting a game together would probably be difficult though, unless you went out and just bought multiple war bands, and had some folks to play with your collection.
You aren't wrong, but that's not stopping me from getting a couple warbands to paint up. Plus I like collecting the books for a bunch of these fringe mini games I may or may not ever play.Like all kickstarter miniature games, this is likely destined to die unfortunately. Sure. I just can barely get people together to play mainline games nowadays. The only option for eccentric or niche stuff is finding people at the local FLGS, but those end up usually being stuff they support even if they don't carry a lot (like bolt action). You aren't wrong, but that's not stopping me from getting a couple warbands to paint up. Did you buy any of the stuff for pledge to the kickstarter or whatever the hell? I was just watching some of the lore videos and it seems really cool.I'm still hoping it catches on some how and gets a decent following. I can't do large wargames anymore so the skirmish stuff works for me. My favorites over all these years are still Mordheim and Gorka-Morka, even thought our group had eight 40k armies and 12 fantasy armies between 1995 and 2010.
You don't have to have regrets for too long because Kickstarter games never last. So far all of the FLGS nearby are not supporting it (not that they can or should), however one has a community discord run by some dudes so there is a TC channel in there. It's pretty much like every other niche game, a few hardcore for now./necro
I forgot about this game until it hit my TikTok feed again and man, I wish I still lived in a large metro area where finding people into obscure games was much easier. I want to play this so badly.
That’s disappointing to hear. Why do people always have to ruin shit with politics and retardation? You don't have to have regrets for too long because Kickstarter games never last. Either way after all the nonsense with Tuomas and the whole woke antichristian stuff and all the trans moderator bullshit from the TC team I'm not interested.
Well especially when you create a setting which is literally the forces of Christ vs literal demons... and take a bold stand against all religion and go on tirades about how Christians shouldn't be playing their game, its a safe space, etc. That’s disappointing to hear.
